PEG has a strong binding force with rubber without degrading the rubber. Coupled with the low volatility and high flash point of PEG, PEG has been widely used in the rubber industry.

Main applications include:

(1) Used as a release agent and loosening agent for rubber and polyurethane products. For example: in the production of products such as shoe soles, heels and heat dissipation hoses. When a product is formed, PEG can quickly separate the diced mold from the mold.

(2) A lubricant that presses the latex on the surface of the fiber and coagulates the latex.

(3) Filling SBR rubber with PEG can prevent the rubber from deactivation.

(4) In cork and sponge, PEG is a good plasticizer and moisture retention agent due to its low volatility and good water absorption.
